Set Time Restrictions
- Admin account with access rights management permissions
- Weekly schedule created in the platform — if no schedules exist yet, create them first in Additional Features → Weekly Schedules (see Weekly Schedules reference)
- Resources that support schedules — not all device types support time restrictions (check the "Support for schedules" column when selecting resources)
Overview
Use time restrictions to limit when access rights are active — for example, allowing access only during business hours on weekdays. Time restrictions work by applying a weekly schedule to access rights, and can be used with any access method (single user, resource groups, user groups, or combined groups).
A weekly schedule is a recurring calendar that defines which days and hours a user can access a resource. Schedules can also include exception days (such as public holidays) when access is different from the normal pattern. Schedules are created and managed in Additional Features → Weekly Schedules.
Apply a Schedule to New Access Rights
When assigning access rights using any method — single user, resource groups, user groups, or combined groups — you can add a time restriction during the validity configuration step.
Step 1: Check Device Compatibility
When selecting resources or resource groups, check the "Support for schedules" column:
- Checkmark (✓) — Device supports time restrictions
- No checkmark — Device does not support schedules and will have 24/7 access within the validity period
"Support for schedules" column — checkmarks indicate devices that support time restrictions
If a resource does not support schedules, the weekly schedule selection will not be available for that resource. The access right will be active 24/7 within the configured validity period.
Step 2: Select a Weekly Schedule
During validity configuration:
- Set your validity period (start and end dates)
- Click the "Add weekly schedule" dropdown
- Select the schedule you want to apply

Step 3: Save and Verify
Click Save to apply the access rights. After saving, verify the schedule by checking the "Access schedules" column in the access rights table.

Apply a Schedule to Existing Access Rights
You can add or change time restrictions for access rights that have already been saved.
Step 1: Navigate to Access Rights
Go to the access rights section:
- For individual users: Users → Select user → Access rights tab
- For user groups: Users → User groups → Select group

Step 2: Edit and Select Schedule
- Click the Edit validity button
- Click the "Add weekly schedule" dropdown
- Select the desired schedule
- Click Save

Step 3: Verify the Update
The schedule name now appears in the "Access Schedule" column, confirming the time restriction is active.

To change a schedule, click Edit validity and select a different schedule. To remove a schedule entirely, click Edit validity, select "Remove selection" from the dropdown, and save — the access right will then be active 24/7 within its validity period.
