Move Resources

Prerequisites
  • Account Administrator, Regional Admin, or Multi-Account Administrator role
  • At least two Locations configured in your account
  • Resources installed at the source location

Overview

Move Resources lets you transfer resources (doors, locks, cabinets, and other devices) from one location to another within your account. The platform keeps a full history of all movements, including who moved what and when.

Key Capabilities:

  • Move one or multiple resources between locations in a single operation
  • View a complete audit trail of all past resource movements
  • Click any resource name in the history to view its details
  • Sort and paginate the movement history table
Update Floor and Category After Moving

After moving resources, floor and category information may need to be updated manually. Go to the individual resource details page to edit these fields.

  1. Click "Additional features" in the left sidebar
  2. Select "Move Resources"

The main page shows:

  • A "Show moved resources" button (top-right) to view the movement history
  • A description of the feature and a built-in How-to guide
  • The location selection interface to start a new move

Moving Resources

The move process has two steps:

Step 1: Select Locations

  1. Choose the source location from the "Move from" dropdown
  2. Choose the destination location from the "Move to" dropdown
  3. Click "Confirm" to proceed to resource selection

The source location you selected appears grayed out in the destination dropdown to prevent selecting the same location for both.

Step 2: Select Resources and Confirm

  1. The table shows all resources at the source location with columns: Name, ID, Floor, Category, and Support for schedules
  2. Use the checkboxes to select the resources you want to move
  3. Review your selection in the confirmation panel (bottom-right)
  4. Click "Move" to complete the operation

Moved Resources History

Click "Show moved resources" to view the complete history of all resource movements. The history table includes:

  • Resource name — click to open the resource details page (sortable)
  • Location from — source location
  • Location to — destination location
  • Moved by — email of the user who performed the move
  • Date moved — timestamp of the move (sortable)
Grayed-Out Rows

If a row in the history table is grayed out, it means that resource no longer exists. The movement history is preserved even after a resource is deleted.
